2. Is it mandatory to purchase the seat assignment service to have a seat on the airplane?
No. Viva Air likes you to choose the services you wish to purchase. If you don’t care to travel in row 1 or 30, then select the "random seat" option and the system will automatically assign you a seat at no additional charge. Now of course, we can’t guarantee that you’ll travel next to the people you want.
3. How can I change my seat?
Seat changes can be made through the web page www.vivaair.com when making your web check-in., the call center, at the airport or on board. While doing though the web page: Select “your reservation” option, enter your code and last name, and in the “add additional services” section, change your seat. Note that if you choose a seat with a higher price, the difference should be paid. If your change is for a seat with a lower price, your money will not be refunded.
4. How can I select my seat if I’m traveling with an infant?
Remember that infants (between 10 days and 24 months) must travel in the lap of a parent and should not occupy a separate seat inside the plane. If you’ve checked in your reservation that you’re traveling with an infant, when selecting a seat, you’ll only be allowed to choose from seats available for passengers traveling with infants. Choose one and that’s it. Note that prices may vary depending on the location inside the plane.
5. If I purchase the pet service, should I sit on a specific seat?
If you purchased the service for traveling with your pet (only dogs or cats not exceeding 10 kg (22 pounds) and 40x35x25 cm, including a fabric pet carrier, are allowed on domestic flights,) when selecting a seat, you’ll only be allowed to choose from window seats. Note that prices may vary depending on the location inside the plane. Viva Air does not transport pets on international flights.

7. If I change my flight, do I have to select my seat again?
Yes. If you’ve changed your flight, but had purchased the seat assignment service, you must select it again. If you choose a chair with a higher price, the difference should be paid. If your change is for a seat with a lower price, your money will not be refunded.
8. If my flight is rescheduled, will I have the same seat I had already purchased?
If the same seat is available, the system will assign it to you. If not, a seat with the same characteristics will be assigned to you. If you don’t agree with the seat assigned to you by the system, because it doesn’t have the characteristics of the seat you’d purchased, you should contact our call center or go to the airport on the day of your flight, so that a seat that fits your needs will be assigned to you. If a seat that meets the characteristics you bought is not found, your money will be refunded.
